This was hands down the best pro vs con conversion on bip110 I've heard. It's amazing how productive and informative it can be when both participants debate honestly, attempt to understand each other, and don't resort to cheap shots, insults and straw manning. Thank you gentlemen!

Woke infiltration is a recurring pattern that unfortunately affects many open source projects, corporations, and other institutions. Thinking that Bitcoin Core is immune to it is extremely naive. Wokism is antithetical to meritocracy has no place in Bitcoin development.
It's particularly interesting how covid accelerated the process with vaccine compliance. Makes me wonder if that was the whole point.

Great conversation. I'm a believer in "strong opinions loosely held'. There's nothing wrong with reassessment and changing your mind at any time, although it doesn't seem like there's any major disagreement with hodlonaut's views and those of BIP-110 supporters. Regardless, I respect his choice to withdraw support. Taking a non-committal view while assessing is always wise. An episode with Giacomo on the topic next would be awesome.

It's incredible to see what some bitcoiners are willing to defend. I mean, I know there are some devout Core worshipers out there, but this is next level.
Question for the people concerned about quantum: If quantum computers reach the point where they can spend Satoshi's coins, what are the implications for bitcoin mining? Will they be also be able to instantly solve blocks, do chain rewrites, etc? All the focus is on spending Satoshi's coins, but it seems like mining would be just as affected.
Devs like blue haired Matt Carallo want control over the supply of Bitcoin. Quantum FUD is just a convenient way to scare us into giving it to them. We must fight back and stop this madness.
