Question for the people concerned about quantum: If quantum computers reach the point where they can spend Satoshi's coins, what are the implications for bitcoin mining? Will they be also be able to instantly solve blocks, do chain rewrites, etc? All the focus is on spending Satoshi's coins, but it seems like mining would be just as affected.

It is exponentially harder for a quantum computer to crack Bitcoin’s mining algorithm than to break Bitcoin’s key schemes — mining only suffers a quadratic slowdown, while ECDSA collapses entirely under Shor’s algorithm.
