People get confused about #BIP110 BIP110 is not addressing spam. BIP110 is addressing bulky arbitrary data insertions in order to prioritize Bitcoin as money. A study of 10-days-worth of transactions shows that BIP110 would've saved 36% block space. A response to tighten consensus after 3 years of talking about it sounds late, not urgent. Core v30 just put the pedal to the metal.
