Power is back on, we survived. It was an adventure to be out of touch for 72 hours. Might make it a routine honestly. Board games and candlelight made us feel togetherness we've missed lately. Also looking into generators and power banks for the future. Tonight, calm and quiet installing @GrapheneOS on my Pixel 9a thanks to the awesome tutorial done by @BTC Sessions

It’s Saturday evening, the generator is humming outside. Wife and kids are warm, enjoying a movie by the fire. Both are supplied by propane. Extension cords all across the house powering Starlink and Zootopia. It was a chainsaw kinda day. Got to cut some trees to clear roadways. Spent time setting up our power to at least save our meat and give us some creature comforts for tonight. It’s getting cold and dark but we will be fine. 24hrs of dark quickly shows how dependent we are on energy and proof of work. Those are systems worth investing in, not like systems of the state. They will never save you, in fact they hate you. So send them hate back by being completely independent from them. We spent a lot of time outside today, free. Saying goodnight to the birds. We built this coop almost 4 years ago and it is still in great shape, and has never been penetrated by predators although they’ve tried. Fun and resourceful project that allows us to have fresh eggs all year.

This is funny because in the Core vs. Knots debate you see plainly who the VC funded influencers are. Why can’t Core just roll back the op_return limit in their next release? Clearly it’s been met with contention and should be thought through a little more? Oh wait, there’s VC interest behind the data being added to the blockchain. Always be mindful of who the influencer you are listening to is getting paid by. This is why I just like talking to plebs, we are interested in Bitcoin as money only, no other incentives. Most of us have day jobs that are completely unrelated. Or perhaps just riding on our stack. My take is that we ourselves have to become the content we wish to see on Nostr. Who else will do it? I’ve followed many different people on YouTube during my life, learned and even met them in person. Some of them were banned, some are no longer living. If they could know now that there is an open protocol where you can post anything at anytime and receive instant payment in the hardest money on earth they would say we are crazy for sitting idly by. (Get up and do something while you’re still breathing) Nostr is a hollow shell without people filling it with communication, thoughts and productivity. GM Nostr. Fun perspective during this market. I took my Jan25 DCA and compared to Jan26, same amount in fiat converted daily but netted 9.4% more sats this year over last. Bear markets are where the cheap corn is, you’ll be happy you kept stacking in the next run. Just contribute daily and let time do the rest. I’m truly starting to believe our own emotions and lack of knowledge are the biggest risk in bitcoin. The stoic will win.

Talk me into my next BTC miner. I currently have a Bitaxe gamma solo mining 24/7. Call it my last degenerate behavior lingering from my fiat past, or contributing to the decentralized hash rate. For the next one I would like to serve a higher purpose. I would use it to pool mine with @OCEAN and the proceeds from it I intend to stack in non-KYC cold storage. Reasons being, having to jump ship privately or potential pass down to future generations. Currently I'm looking at a NerdQaxe++ and Canaan Avalon 3S. Both have 6TH/S hash rate at a similar price point. The key difference for me is that I'm familiar with the Bitaxe OS and it will integrate easily with my current miner. The Canaan has its own interface, but has the additional benefit of acting as a small space heater which I could use. Based on this, what would you choose? Do you mine?
