It’s Saturday evening, the generator is humming outside. Wife and kids are warm, enjoying a movie by the fire. Both are supplied by propane. Extension cords all across the house powering Starlink and Zootopia. It was a chainsaw kinda day. Got to cut some trees to clear roadways. Spent time setting up our power to at least save our meat and give us some creature comforts for tonight. It’s getting cold and dark but we will be fine. 24hrs of dark quickly shows how dependent we are on energy and proof of work. Those are systems worth investing in, not like systems of the state. They will never save you, in fact they hate you. So send them hate back by being completely independent from them. We spent a lot of time outside today, free. Stacking energy and proof of work to provide for ourselves. Plus I can still spend Bitcoin under my own power, can’t be stopped. 📝 e9679505…

I was lucky to grow up in a rural setting with parents that were preparedness minded. Wood for redundancy for heating the house. We’d have extended power outages for 2-3 days following snow storms, and we would all drag our mattresses into the living room where the fireplace was. We would cook all our meals in the fireplace on a grill or in a pot suspended by a chain. If we needed groceries, Dad had a sled with a hitch behind the snowmobile and could whip into the village. Never skipped a beat, and we only had two TV channels so it was rarely missed.
