For the first time in history, someone bought a real-world good with money that NO government issued, NO bank approved, and NO intermediary touched. As Laszlo himself said: "It wasn't about the pizza. It was about proving it works." Today's payment processors still take 3% and 3 days to settle. That pizza transaction settled in less 10 minutes.
