Zappool had an outage, fixed, and apologies! The reason was my human error (not technical, late hosting payment 🥺). Fixed, restarted, hashrate came back, all seems fine. There was no payout yesterday, as the outage started just before payout time. If a miner has a second backup pool configured, and the primary becomes unavailable, it will auto-switch to the secondary, and eventually it will switch back to the primary if available again. I need to improve monitoring.

A long-awaited small development: you can use Nostr Login on the dashboard! If you log in (with the account used for mining), you can filter for your own hashrate (web extension only). https://dashboard.zappool.org/

Due to the 3 days without blocks on Ocean, in the last two days there were hardly any payouts (one). For reasons not entirely clear, an Ocean block commits roughly the same regardless if it happens after 5 minutes or after 3 days of the previous one. As a result, the actual committed amount will be lower than what Zappool has estimated -- and paid out in advance. It takes 1-2 days to even out, and pay again. > - Ocean hashrate went down recently, and right now there were no blocks found in over 99 hours! Total payment amounts added to the dashboard, and ... ... it turns out Zappool is losing money 🙃 32247 sats paid out to you guys, 31352 received from Ocean that's a net negative of 895 sats. Why? Because @OCEAN pays later, and always owes 1-2 days worth of rewards.
