Trying to spend one hour a day at night doing something with Ai This week I’ve been taking Anthropic’s free courses on working with Claude. They each come with a LinkedIn badge I can put in my profile (don’t judge me, I was late to Bitcoin and still have to work) Last night and today I’ve been designing a resume website for myself to make my resume just ever so slightly more visually appealing and entertaining I’ve added a section where I can display the iPhone app I am also building when it makes its way to the App Store I’ve gotten comfortable using Claude in VScode now which opens up a whole new world of possibility Keep in mind two weeks ago I’d never written a line of code in my life This has been a fun and rewarding experience

Really enjoying vibe coding with Claude code so far. I went from knowing basically zero about mobile app development to almost being ready to deploy my first application in just about one week I’m already looking on the horizon for my next idea I want to tackle. Trying to think big picture is tough . Trying to come up with something people will pay for and use is even harder I wish I could justify $200 for the max level subscription but I simply can’t find a way to square the circle and make the case where that money is well spent right now In theory I could develop a business, some software, an app, or SOMETHING that would just need to make $200+ a month to cover the cost of developing it, maybe another $100 for hosting and database needs Feels like I have a sports car I’m building from scratch but not the gasoline it needs to run For now I think I’ll stick to small, manageable, tangible value add ideas that I just can go out and solve without any implications Just to flex the muscle of building , iterating, practicing good product management principles , getting it out in the world, and learning as much as I can along the way It will also have a second order effect of creating a nice little portfolio of examples of how I used AI to build things that will look nice on my resume . In a professional world that will be consumed by AI , having something tangible that I did outside of work on my resume should be a non negotiable. Whatever it may be. I really don’t really know what I’m doing All I know for certain right now is you can just do things. And that is my new personal mantra.

OpenClaw diary entry; Open claw has been an interesting experience so far. I’ve been using @clawi.ai for a fast plug and play experience since I don’t have the resources or the know how to set up a self hosted one myself. It still needs a lot of trouble shooting but so far I think I’ve gotten into a good rhythm and can work with it well. I’ve been using it to help me draft a bitcoin related business model I’ve been ruminating on for months. It’s helped me actually put pen to paper and flesh out some specifics. So much so that now I’m spending more time questioning if the idea itself is good enough to achieve the mission I’ve identified than planning on how to use OpenClaw to support the operation. To be honest, I feel that I’m hitting a wall running in circles writing the same strategy documents over and over again. I’ll need to actually just build something and get it out in the market to see if it’s any good. I don’t know how much OpenClaw can help once the door is open and I have a product people for which might pay . With Kimi launching a beta of a built in bot this weekend, and OpenAi’s deal with Steinberger, I’m anticipating the “plug and play” element to get a lot better in coming months. That excites me, because it will be that much easier to use.

Open claw has been fun. I got greedy wanted to maximize the output while minimizing token usage. Last night I had a fully operational Trello integration going. My bot could add tickets, reclassify them, move tickets around, take on tasks based on content within tickets I had written, add comments , come up with new ideas. The whole nine yards. A nice way to work based on my personality. Then I downgraded the operational model to see if he could still add and move tickets around without using that many tokens. That switch basically made my agent braindead , and he forgot he even had API access to the board we made. Can’t do anything now. Back to square one I guess. Trouble shooting is fun.

I just set one of these up because I’ve wanted to have an agent but have very limited technical knowledge and not enough computing resources to dedicate to my own agent at the moment Entire process was incredibly easy and intuitive , and I’ve already got my bot integrated with a Trello board to assign it tasks while I sleep Shout out to this project because it was exactly was a noob like me needs to dip his feet into the world of Ai agents without dropping hundreds of dollars on equipment first 📝 a087e652…
