Sounds like a good gig. Don’t promise too much initially is all I can say - it’s always more work than meets the eye. Pinpoint the current issues with them, make a time line to sort, cost it up in terms of hours/day rate. Only suggestions mind you. Hopefully others here can give you their perspective too.

Have they had any other quotes from “website design” companies? Useful to find out if they have as they may have been put off by those already and it will give you a ball park figure to perhaps undercut a little. It’s also usually an ongoing gig as they’ll no doubt want to make updates (which said companies charge for too) unless it’s a very static site. Can be a nice little earner. Good luck!
