Checked out the new Samsung S26 Ultra today... It's $2300 CAD. I have no idea why. I have an S21U and the difference between the phones is certainly not $2300 worth. Yeah, 8 can get it cheaper (wow... $1800) bu, honestly, after 5 years is expect holographic 3D imaging or some magic shit to have developed. I'll be holding my S21U till it's truly dead before I even think of an upgrade (and then it'll likely be for a Pixel as it's something I can ironically degooglify).

It was a good day celebrating wife's birthday. Started with a big breakfast done right at home (by me). Then we went out and brought home some amazing cheeses from a local cheese monger that had the best assortment within 50km. Then after we ate some of it paired with some local wines we dined out at a fantastic family run Greek restaurant. There's nothing like spending quality family time together (kids joined us for dinner). With all the conflict in the world I can't help but reflect that I trust they will all get to have the same experiences shortly.
