AI might liberate millions of people from work they do not want to do, it might bring scientific breakthroughs. AND AI will definitely be a tool for government surveillance stifling freedom of speech and cutting down on human rights. Our @Bitcoin for Fairness Bitcoin week #Mozambique started with a 4 hour workshop attended by 80 people in Maputo. Organized by @Bitcoin Famba it was live translated by Daniel to Portuguese. Talking about earning bitcoin I demonstrated #Nostr and many signed up immediately. @Amethyst @Nostur I also introduced @Hodl Hodl as a way to obtain KYC free bitcoin. Local projects @Bitcoin Dombo @Bitcoin Tofo and Lwandi Surf presented their initiatives too.

Just introduced a banker (over 20 years in the profession) to Bitcoin. Now he wants to obtain non KYC bitcoin, because he knows first hand how the regulatory regime is increasing costs, bureaucracy, exclusion of people, how it makes the wealthy richer and is ineffective. One person at a time.

In 2025 we supported the founding of @Bitcoin Famba, the first educational Bitcoin community in Mozambique. Now we will travel to Maputo to run a series of workshops together with Bitcoin Famba. Workshops for Civil Society, Journalists and Communities will include: Bitcoin – an introduction, how to install a wallet, and how to store, send, and receive Bitcoin safely Nostr – earning Bitcoin for your content @Hodl Hodl – obtaining Bitcoin without an ID to protect your privacy Bitchat – communicating without an internet connection @calle @jack AI tools – using @Maple AI and @PayPerQ to safeguard your privacy BFF will co‑host the inaugural BitDevs meetup in Maputo with Bitcoin Famba on 7 March 2026.
