How often do you think about your sovereignty as an individual?
Much like our health, sovereignty is not appreciated until it's compromised.
The question becomes “how much agency do I REALLY have?”
Two priorities become abundantly clear. 1) Physical safety and 2) Asset protection.
For physical safety, it’s complicated, and 99% can’t do much about it.
if I have to evacuate. Can I?
I can ask permission: permission to leave and permission to be let in. Do I have the right color passport?
For many, the answer to the above questions is no… just the genetic luck of the draw.
None of us chose the color of our passports.
For asset protection, it’s complicated, but 100% of us CAN do something about it.
if I want to move my assets, can I?
I can ask permission. Permission to move my money, permission to “liquidate” my portfolio.
I can't move my property.
Will “they” accept? What if it’s a bank holiday? What if it’s above the “daily limit”?
Again, what if I have the wrong color passport?
For many, the answer to the above questions is “maybe”.
Sorry, but fuck that, “maybe” is not good enough.
I want an asset I can carry in my head, access from anywhere in the world, and be able to send any amount, any time, to wherever I want. Instantly. Permissionlessly.
Permissionlessly.
Fuck asking for permission to move MY MONEY.
Whether you’re an individual, a business, or a country, your goal should be to maximize sovereignty and agency over your own affairs.
Money determines how much agency you have, and will greatly help you manage your physical safety issues.
There is only one asset in the world that:
- has no counterparty risk.
- cannot be censored.
- cannot be debased.
- can be transferred anywhere, instantly.
- can be fully self-custodied.
- can be used PERMISSIONLESSLY.
