This is an old newspaper photo from 1967 and that is me with the trumpet. I am still a teenager at this time and this is the second band that I was a performer with. The first was a contemporary jazz fusion ensemble with mainly fathers of my school mates. I played trumpet until 1973 when I ditched it and took up playing flute. The beat goes on …

Reintroducing myself. My name is Denton and I am a retired musician and designer in Aotearoa. Most people call me Dent. Here is a photo from 1977 playing tenor sax with my band of that time. My new Korg PE1000 poly synth is lurking just behind me and represents my entry into keyboard and synth. The flute is hiding on the peg on my sax stand.
