it's one of the baddest podcasts, and I suspect @ODELL & @Matthew Kratter could both do with some humbling f2f conversation instead of plotting the hardest hitting, heavy drama responses on a timeline.
more importantly, I think the community needs to be looking for common ground in this dispute, rather than these ego-rich shitstorm threads. we have much more in common than not. our savings, likewise, is all wrapped in this mechanism and I would prefer a different mechanism.

@ODELL is my opsec spirit animal, and @Luke Dashjr is (I believe, having met him a couple times) morally pure and technically proficient.
I would be impressed if they could both minimize the rhetoric, and deliver their thoughts in a clear and structured way instead of bickering back and forth in threads.
Odell, you've got a huge platform and a lot of skin in the game. It's weird to punch down on an awkward man who's devoted SO much. I'd encourage you to be careful of a crowd of sycophants appealing to your base instincts, and to listen with an open mind. Consider that you were likely groomed into the place you're at now, whether you realize it or not. Talk to Francis about this, your stories might have more significant details that you already realize.
Luke, don't let the haters get you down. I'm sitting on the sidelines with v21 & waiting for further conversations but very much willing to roll over to Knots should the opportunity persist.
@Pierre Rochard suggested a soft fork to remove OP_RETURN, and I'd consider that as well.
Who could productively mediate this conversation? Whoever it is, I'd like to see the Core Devs left out entirely. Likewise, I've heard enough from Mechanic and the rest of the cheerleaders (on both sides).
