Mempool is empty bro if anything we should be begging people to use it more. I don’t believe in your either or statement it’s BS. Bitcoin is supposed to be censorship resistant and permissionless, censoring tx we don’t like is antithetical in my view.

Why begging though? Educating yes, but an empty mempool is a truer metric for where bitcoin adoption is really at. We both know that if bitcoin succeeds, empty mempools will be a memory. But why fill it with nonmonetary crap in the meantime? Mining as an industry is already bigger than bitcoin needs it to be. Making mining more profitable than it should be by cramming data into the empty block space is skewing the incentives. We've seen that data degeneracy can push tx prices higher. Any upward pressure is unjust to a puritan as myself. I don't see it as sensorship. You're OK with the Bitcoin network not relaying MasterCard transactions, or real estate sale transactions. That's a type of sensorship. Bitcoin the network is for transferring bitcoin. Why should I have to verify and store non monetary data? There is no set definition of what bitcoin is to everyone. Just Fuzzy consensus about what we all agree on. Non monetary data is not bitcoin to me, and does reduce its's qualities as money. That's why 110.
