I just moved to Jellyfin + *arrr ecosystem after decades on Plex. Painful at first, but no looking back now.

Why are you paying for software that spies on you when free software that doesn't exists? Switch to Jellyfin.

got soooo tired of plex. jellyfin is good enough now that i haven't missed plex for the past 4 months now. The roku app is actually better than plex now... firetv one is still lacking a bit. it is on my forking list.

If I was just running a server for myself sure. Plex is still easier for families. I get the sentiment, also hdr10+ support is still iffy but starting to really build and it definetly needs to.

I run a server for my family and have no idea why you would think Jellyfin can't do that. Client devices are way more of a problem for force transcoding and codec support than the server ever has been.
