Iranian officials have warned U.S. against sending troops to its territory amid the raging regional war between the two nations. Speaking to Sky News in Tehran, Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh said "even suggesting that a foreign country can put boots on the ground of another country… is very much wrong, very reckless, illegal." Khatibzadeh said Tehran was focused on defending its sovereignty and was not considering negotiations for now. Meanwhile, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Esmail Baghaei accused American leaders of waging a war against 'humanity and civilisation' during a weekly press conference in Tehran on Monday.
