So I think I thought a way to make my PfSense easier I’ll alias RFC1918 address spaces and make a reject rule for all the high risk VLAN’s to prevent east-west talking and pin hole only what I need above those rules… that should simplify a lot for my zero trusting of my home lab.

People often tell me, especially on stream, to “stick to tech/cybersecurity and avoid politics.” Problem is, cybersecurity is politics: privacy, regulation, nation-state threats. You may not F with politics, but it will F with you. I don’t like it, but I have to understand the game.

If I can be blunt, people say Israel controls America. I’d say no, it’s Evangelical Christians and their warped theology bending over backward for Netanyahu. A lot of Jews, including much of my Israeli and Palestinian family, do not agree with Netanyahu and what has been happening.

Finally got around to replacing the Unifi Cloud Key Gen 2 that had a dead battery with a Pi 4 using PoE and a SATA SSD. Racking it now, next up moving switches to their own VLAN, then setting up Twingate as part of zero trusting the whole home lab. #cybersecurity

Tracked down my dropped-frame issue and fixed QoS on pfSense. Stream traffic from my streaming PC now gets top WAN priority via weighted queues, with background uploads deprioritized. People need to stop blindly believing everything on TikTok they see and learn some critical thinking and do some fact checking. Google still exists, and no, AI is not a proper fact checker all the time, it can give wrong information if you blindly trust it as well.
