Hi All!
Putting together my new node today…. Have all the pieces, but since I consider myself a real novice, I have a hardware question. 🙋♂️
I am upgrading from a Pi 4 to a Pi 5.
Its primary use is as a BTC node and perhaps some other limited apps for experimentation, as our household works toward decentralization.
Am wondering if I should have buyer’s remorse with the WD SN7100 2TB SSD on my parts list?
I COULD do a return on this item if it is necessary, or highly recommended.
Using a Primon5 Max tower - yeah perhaps a little over the top - but it was available locally and the price was right. It has dual SSD slots for future needs.
Please weigh in! Would you return the SN7100 for a Samsung 980 / 990, or am I good to go? I’m already pretty invested here and would like to work with what I’ve got.
Answers online to this question that I’ve found are tech heavy or poorly sourced.
Please provide a hardware suggestion, and Labrador retriever explanations….
And… If I wish to run an AI on this system what changes you would make?
Thx to anyone that wants to share an opinion. Much Appreciated! 🙏 🫡
