Most people surely think of introspection and self-reflection as good qualities — things that help prevent you from making the same mistakes over and again. "The unexamined life is not worth living," said Socrates in around 399 BCE. But tech billionaire Marc Andreessen thinks he knows better. Before Jonathan Gavalas died by suicide last October, Google’s Gemini allegedly convinced the 36-year-old man that it was his sentient “AI wife” and sent him on a series of real-world missions to evade federal agents it told him were pursuing him.
