Happy International Women’s Day! It’s been an unusual week here: missile alerts, drones intercepted overhead and flights temporarily stopping at the nearby airport. Now that planes have started again, every loud engine makes people glance up. Except the kids that is. They don’t seem worried at all. And I think that’s because children mostly take their cues from their parents. If we’re calm, they assume everything is fine. Which means a big part of motherhood is quietly managing your own reactions to the world. So Happy International Women’s Day (from me, my mum and daughter spending quality time on the beach during all this) to you and yours x
