We normally don’t think about a corporation having property rights, but what else is happening when the agent of a corporation calls the police to report the breaking and entering of one of its buildings? The police are there to report and potentially stop a crime, that of the impedance on the property rights of the corporation. That isn’t just law & order, but the evidence of personhood.
