Day 18 Minotaur Ramadan Challenge and i've been on the ropes last couple of days. Iftari dinner on Friday night wasn't too bad, albeit really tempted with the fizzy drinks. Yesterday the family ordered take out food. The pizza was calling to me like crack calls to an addict (so I imagine 😂) Despite even my son tryna tempt; we stayed strong. Final iftari dinner tonight, which hopefully should be the last big test. So let's see. How you getting along with your challenge?

The real challenge will be to see how long past your goal you can continue. When I've decided to abstain from specific consumables (nicotine, sugar as an added ingredient, etc), my first goal is 28 days. If I really want to quit, and not just take a break, the next goal marker is at 90 days. If I can surpass 90 days, then I look at the 1 year goal marker. If I can go 1 year, then I'm probably "in the clear", and can possibly tolerate some occassional exceptions to my abstinence. Apparently, after seven years, none of the cells in your body are the same as the ones prior to that seven year period. I'm not sure how true that is, because bones are often dense. Even if it's only true for soft tissue, the "whole new you" may not miss fizzy drinks, and enjoy pure water much more than your old self. Good job, btw. Good health has exponential returns.

Great insight again thanks. Yes they say change doesn’t really happen until day 60+ I did 75-hard a few years ago, 75 days of activities including diet and 2 work outs a day etc. continued the gym for 90 days before lockdowns. Another time I did 100 days in the gym in a row - the transformation doesn’t really hit until after day 65 for both times. Works the opposite as well, with laziness and procrastination
