Salvadoran Bitcoiners, people who have personally met Nayib Bukele and others who are interested what is going on in El Salvador, a question for all of you: Now that all the “bad hombres” are in prison, why El Salvador has not loosened gun ownership restrictions for the public? Why the country has focused on tightening state control over firearms? A bit of background information for the question: Like we all know, El Salvador has undergone a dramatic transformation, moving from being considered the "murder capital of the world" to one of the safest countries in the Western Hemisphere. Many Western countries are starting to look like the old El Salvador. And Bukele is touring the planet telling everyone what the simple recipe for a safe country is. Recently he went as far as saying the following: "There is no state that is unable to fight the criminals. If a State doesn't overcome crime, it's because it is complicit." This is a message that will resonate. Whether Nayib Bukele is doing it on purpose or not, he seems to ALWAYS forget to mention the fact that historically speaking the state is the worst mass murderer. And I have never seen him highlight that gun rights are important for self-defense and fighthing against government tyranny. I think it’s high time that freedom loving Bitcoiners with a sovereignty mindset quit highlighting how “safe” El Salvador is and instead start highlighting the importance of the 2nd amendment. But I would love to know your thoughts, npub1jt97tpsul3fp8hvf7zn0vzzysmu9umcrel4hpgflg4vnsytyxwuqt8la9y, npub1au23c73cpaq2whtazjf6cdrmvam6nkd4lg928nwmgl78374kn29sq9t53j, npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe, npub1dg6es53r3hys9tk3n7aldgz4lx4ly8qu4zg468zwyl6smuhjjrvsnhsguz, npub1lr2zzf989mvf393y0tv39ara6a4vddkd6y87z784up9vl6ks6j3qtudl6a, npub1esvan8nn7du7ufy4hldntuu706xeunv0zwud595l6gzz0305rgzszspu76 & EVERYBODY else who wants to contribute. It’s a good question for citizens in El Salvador to consider.

Yes, and it's a good question for all Bitcoiners to consider. The fact that El Salvador has not loosened gun ownership restrictions for the public brings bad vibes... I don't think there is a better country to loosen those restrictions than the safest country in the Western Hemisphere. Suddenly we Bitcoiners are admiring a country, because -- thanks to its strong leadership -- it's very safe. Suddenly we love a strong leader, who -- as far as I know -- always forgets to mention the fact that historically speaking the state is the worst mass murderer. And instead of warning about the state's track record, he says that "if a State doesn't overcome crime, it's because it is complicit". I would not be surprised if this way of thinking is abused everywhere -- now that pretty much every country has a problem with crime. I am not denying the fact that El Salvador was very unsafe, and that people must be very happy about it being safe now. I am just saying that China has a very low crime rate too.

In a transition like the one we’re going through, we will each have to ask ourselves - is this country moving towards something we want…..or away from it. Is it likely to be safe, what are the risks, quality of life, etc etc . (From our own perspective) Sudden changes should be expected and secondary options should be explored. I agree with 2nd amendment and if you are a citizen of El Salvador, you should have a say, (or if it’s a condition of you moving there) But I also have to ask myself honestly…..how did the that work in protecting US citizens from deception and mass murder where criminals empowered by stolen money (Epstein et all) pulled all the strings. Fixing money is number 1 (including privacy) because it defunds the entire zero sum game and makes cooperation far more profitable than attacks.

I totally agree that that fixing money is the number 1 priority. And that money has to be private. And, like you point out, we all need to decide for ourselves. Despite the 2nd amendment, the US lost its independence in 1913. So it is true to say that it did not save the country. However, I believe that the Americans are better off thanks to it. At least a total Bolshevik revolution is going to be a lot harder to repeat there thanks to the fact that so many Americans own guns. My personal opinion is that there can be no democracy with the current monetary system. Therefore, countries LARPing as democratic countries are not democratic --> their governments are illegitimate --> no reason to respect the laws, if you are not doing anything wrong. In other words, if somebody wants to own a gun, just do it. No need to wait for a permission from Bukele, Trump, Ursula, or anyone else. If you believe in God, consider it your God-given right. If you are an atheist, consider it your birthright. And if you are agnostic, have one – just in case. The fiat problem is global, and we are pretty much living under a one world government. So, at some point, it might be true that there is nowhere to go. And then you will need a gun. And Bitcoin.
