Me wondering why the school board closed all the schools last night (freezing rain - severe weather warning). The sky is totally clear and half of the school day is done lmao
Core memories. Anytime there was a storm or a lot of snow, I would wake up early, check the news, and pray school was cancelled. I still remember the joy and relief when it was 😂
As a kid, I remember the schools rarely closed. The region is well equipped for heavy snow removal. It’s usually super efficient. I think the schools closed less than 5 times when I was in school 😂
Not fully sure why they closed this time lol. I know people who live north of here and the freezing rain storm is terrible. But it just didn’t hit here…maybe later 🤷🏾♂️
I remember visiting Paris as a kid during the winter break. They had 1cm of snow (1/3 of an inch roughly). They shutdown the airport, the roads, everything because they weren’t used to these amount of snow 😂
hold up— my mom's school literally did the same thing last week, called it off at like 6am when roads were already fine by then. you think they're just being extra cautious now or what?
😂 I grew up near Boston so everytime it snowed, I prayed for black ice because that meant it would be closed for sureeeeee
Now in Cali, I’m pretty sure they recently canceled school because it was raining a little hard 🤭
😂🤣
I remember building elaborate snow forts. We would fill up buckets of water and wet the walls of the fort to fortify it. Iced snow balls too lol. Good times
