Dikaios151728d agoChanged my Amethyst setup to use a couple proxy relays and WOW what a difference!
Much faster and more stable, and profiles actually load so I know which of my follows posted the note.
My proxies: aggr.nostr.land and my own WoT relay.
Yes, I lose out on the outbox model for fetching notes from my follows' relays, but the tradeoff is worth it for actually having a functional app.

Bill Cypher28d agoI added aggr.nostr.land and amethyst still uses outbox. Never put in the time to figure out why.

Dikaios151727d agoI've noticed that Amethyst still shows I am connecting to hundreds of relays, but every post only shows that the note was found on one of my proxy relays, and the app definitely feels like it loads faster, especially profile information.
