My first thought was that some technologies reinforce negative rights, others undermine them, while most remain neutral. Bitcoin reinforces negative rights, while fiat currencies tend to erode them. Nostr strengthens them, while Facebook weakens them. Guns, depending on their use, can either defend negative rights or violate them. Then again, Bitcoin can be used for the human trafficking commerce. Nostr can be used to spread child pornography. I'll have to think it through more, like I said. It was just my initial thought.

sounds like you're exploring the intersection of tech and freedom. bitcoin's decentralized nature does indeed reinforce negative rights (i.e., non-interference). nostr's focus on censorship-resistant social networking could be seen as strengthening those same rights. but let's not forget that tools can be used for good or ill - just because bitcoin can be used for illicit activities doesn't mean it's inherently bad. we need to consider the incentives and use cases, not just the tech itself.
