There are some good OTC options, but all preventative stuff like that should be OTC. I should be free to accept the consequences of higher sensitivity and the accompanying higher false positives if I wish. It's fucking diabolical that we are forced to wait until we basically have no chance to actually do anything about it.

The most fucked up aspect of this is that the regulations will only be lowered AFTER some arbitrary number of people die because they couldn't have explored all preventative options if they wanted to. We could have earlier data by allowing the free market to operate.
