After spending a half dozen hours researching BIP-110, I still don't have any strong opinions. What I mainly learned is that many people in the Bitcoin space who I previously looked up to will turn into children the second someone disagrees with them, which is really unfortunate. We can do better. There's good discussions to be had here on technical and philosophical merit, but 90% of what I see is character assassination, name calling, and strawmans.
