this is all happening because luke lives in the middle of nowhere with a shitty ISP and has so many children he cannot even afford to visit a dentist, and he got all his bitcoin stolen. there's nothing rational about transaction fees being more expensive than node hardware. not to mention running a node with perpetually full 4 mb blocks is still an extremely small fraction of the average miner's expenses. it's a fucking rounding error
