Brisket42d agoThese are basil trimmings to go in the dehydrator. Picked & trimmed a bit today.
Wanting enough dried basil to see me through the coming winter. It's amazing how much it shrinks when dried & crushed.

Brisket42d agoIt's a herb that pairs well with tomatoes cooked or raw. I like to add quite a bit as a bolognaise sauce as it's almost finished cooking.
The other thing people use it for is making pesto.
