Maikel19d agoWhat's new in this network? I might spend more time here. I'm kind of disappointed in the fediverse. I'm realising that while it "might" look left-leaning platform it is anything but that. It's all window dressing.
Same people who defend working right might offer you a job where you work 2+ years without a contract. Same people who post about hating ICE have no real-life black and minority ethnic friends, in fact Mastodon is incredibly white.
No one seems to see an issue on the power admins have in Mastodon to silence people either.
In a nutshell, Nostr feels RIGHT I just don't understand why Nostr doesn't scale, why crypto is so ridiculously overrepresented if you just want a social network to meet people and see cute cat pics, have fun.

🇵🇸 whoever loves Digit19d agoNostr is kinda full of Nazis, but it has no bans or censorship so it is better than the fediverse.
Lately nostr is kinda dying from being overrun by bots. I've been trying to convince devs to implement better filters for users to filter bots.
There's been a lot of progress on a proposal I posted for a nostr git based on radicle. It's called Cradicle or Project Zymogen. I think it's got some parts ready to use already

Maikel19d agoMastodon is full of nazis since Truth Social was originally based on it.
The only reason you don't see them is most BIG servers adhere to the Mastodon server code of conduct and share blocklist, in those lists was Truth Social or whatever the Trumpers call it now.
YES, Nostr needs way better filters. I can't see crypto even if I don't want to.

21_21_2119d agoNostr scales just fine, better than activity pub imo. Different nostr clients have different filter abilities, I'm on amesthyst and I can filter by keyword so if you don't want to see anything BTC related that's easy
