Oh wow, that's cool! It is sorta relaxing isn't it... I read the series when I was traveling for work a lot and found it a great escape, and oddly fascinating. I think I read that King was in some sort of mad state when writing them. Just looked it up and see he considers it his magnum opus, a 35-year passion project, so maybe I had it wrong with my recall, but tldr he considers them special somehow, and I kinda get it.
