I've had multiple people ask me for help getting into Bitcoin within the past month... During this price dump. I've never had this during a bear market before. Is anyone else experiencing this, or just me?

Quiet on this front but my friend who dumped half their savings in at $115k is still bullish and still talking to me so there’s that.

On the ground here in Kenya 🇰🇪 no one cares about the price. Everyone we have on-boarded onto @Tando.me and any #bitcoin #lightning wallet such as @be1d8979…37fe9479 being the easiest option for beginners (though we advice to move early to self custodial @a9c1bad0…a9ea6962 ) is unconcerned about bitcoin price. They want to learn how to get paid in bitcoin and how to instantly convert into local currency they spend immediately. Here the need is to feed everyday the family. The western meme "numbers go up" or the store of value property is not the primary driver of bitcoin adoption. Here lightning and #tando remove the friction of fiat. Tried to provide some capital to a small business by sending an unbanked/unbankable person some #dollar or #euro in #africa? Try, then you will understand the power of bitcoin that everyone in the rich west misses. Here bitcoin is empowerment for the weakest. It can really change Africa's future. That was the big unlock for us. Every. Single. Time. that we tried to orange pill someone and tip the waitress or Uber driver with sats, they said "thanks! How do I spend it?" We listened. Didn't lecture. We gave them the tool to spend as seamlessly as the mpesa they already know.

I’ve had a few people around me getting interested. They’re people who’ve watched me ride out a cycle or 2 and not sell. Asking questions about the tech not the price too so that’s cool.

Same here. I had a friend who’d been holding 1 ETH mined back in 2018. After years of me telling him to convert it to Bitcoin, three days ago he finally asked me to help him do it 😎 On top of that, he wanted to buy more with some cash he had sitting in the bank. We’re going through the process now, explaining how to approach Bitcoin in a responsible way along the journey This is a different bear market 😁

Can relate. We have a physical Bitcoin shop in Paris. People continue to come buy their non KYC stuff on site, or online paying in Bitcoin to have privacy (associated with locker deliveries in many European countries). Without the awful price action having major impact so far, people don't care so much it seems. My 2 cents is that the current global environment of governmental threat (being all bankrupt they are becoming more and more dangerous) lead people to get interested in Bitcoin to protect themselves from theft. The price drop is also viewed more and more as an opportunity even by noobs, not as a proof that bitcoin is dead.

bear markets have always been for learning, but maybe people are finally realizing that the best time to study bitcoin is when nobody's distracting them with price stories. timing the market is impossible, but timing your education is always right.

yeah, its normal. cracking 100k got a lot attention, and now its in the 60s many want a piece expecting it to go again and worried they'd already missed the boat. tells me it will surge again this year as demand rises. took me a couple of months from looking into bitcoin to making my first buy, so April-May could be good. I don't like this bull/bear approach as I think bitcoun flips that on its head too. it's either high or low adoption phase, and what you consider a bear actually means a cheaper on ramp for newbies so now's the time to evangalise. who cares if they come onthinking it's like shares? once they're in and learning they'll start to see the light.
