Tanj I'm disgusted by everything that's going on. But I'm usually disgusted by something or someone each cycle.

Is programmable money bad?

Holy shit man, how far will you go to excuse these demons? Have some self respect.

You didn't answer the question. From past exchanges, you likely won't. Thank you for your time.

Bitcoin's utility is currency and that's all it needs to be and it has done that part very well for the last 17 years. If it's working, don't change it! You don't stick selfies on fiat banknotes either.

Ethereum or CBDCs for that.

I have been paying attention. Core 30 controversy is literally a change to a default setting that does nothing to change consensus. Any tx that was getting through is still getting through and any tx that was not getting through is still not getting through. If you run an old version of core, knots, v30 default settings, v30 w modified settings nothing has changed. Peter theil and citrea (obviously) are complete shitstains but I'm not sure the point you are trying to make... Knots was supposed to fix the "spam problem" and "save Bitcoin" but it didn't do a damn thing. V30 was supposed break Bitcoin and make it impossible to use as money but the fee market is essentially non existent rn. Excuse me if I'm not up in arms and interested in another "solution"(especially one as extreme and half baked as rdts) from those claiming the sky is falling.

What point are you trying to make? If you're against Thiel and Citrea then you're against Bitcoin? It was a stupid gatcha question. I would say "be better" but from past exchanges I know that's impossible for you.

If it is used for monetary transactions yes, if it is used to store big data, inscriptions, degenerate jpegs and other spam then NO. The problem is that this is the new SLopp shitcoiner narrative that excuses spam and obfuscates Bitcoin use as Freedom Money. BIP 110 is another answer for you. And Bitcoin Knots.

Agreed. The only change I'd prefer is CTV+CSFS. And I don't inscribe. Were you going to answer the question?

And... bitcoin. Using the native programming language of bitcoin. That it's had since the start?

And BIP 110 and Bitcoin Knots to filter out spam and big data garbage that has 0 value on Bitcoin.

The quoted text referenced programmable money. Bitcoin is programmable money. I'm asking if that is viewed as a negative aspect of bitcoin. Trying to be netter everyday. It starts with asking questions.

The quoted text referenced Theil's and Citrea's desire to "Accelerate Bitcoin's Programmable Future" that's a bit different than the innocent statement "bitcoin is programmable money" especially considering the context and who it's coming from. They aren't talking about the conservative, minimal programmability required for monetary transactions and you know it. They don't need a foundation for that. Attempting to conflate the two is deceitful.

Do you support Peter Thiel and Palantir and his Epstein ties ?

I do not. Did you mean to ask average_bitcoiner? Also I'm aware of Kratter's association with Theil and while that's embarrassing, I'm glad he's publicly disclosed it and no longer supports Thiel.
