Last night I was messing around with an app that was supposed to health check and transcode all of my media files. I was trying to clear out the list of failed files so I would have a clean slate after fixing something. Instead of sending those files back to the queue, I just straight-up deleted them. Looks like I have some downloading to do again. Good thing I'm paying for unlimited internet. I .have a backup, but most of these are files that I just recently acquired, so they wouldn't have been backed up yet anyway.

Testdisk is your friend. It can find and recover deleted files (as long as the disk area hasn't been overwritten with information.

I had a recent backup of the files on a disconnected external hard drive that I could have gone to to get them back, but it was all replaceable stuff so it was easiest enough to just queue them to be grabbed again.
