Agreed. I spend more time with my dog then I do most humans. She's much better company. Hiking, watching TV, driving, laying in bed all day, etc. Always down and never complains.

I had cats around me most of my life, relating with dogs is hard for me. I do love the dogs I get to know though ☺️

My grandfather used to say "I don't trust people who don't like dogs, and I don't trust people my dog doesn't like." It's always served me well.

We have a cat as well. She's a bit on the spicy side tho. You would think that the cat is the big scary pitbull. A 60lb American Pit Bull Terrier that gets bullied by a 8lb (maybe) cat. 😂
