Generally speaking, if you have transport enabled, the more interfaces connect, the more data can pass through your node. In practice, traffic passes through your node when it's the fastest path to a given destination, or when you are rebroadcasting announces. So on Columba in particular (or anything you're running directly on your phone) you may want to be mindful of this while using mobile data, if you have usage limits

In theory yeah, would require restarting the Reticulum instance though. At least for now, while I'm still using the reference python implementation, disabling/enabling transport mode requires restarting the process. My upcoming kotlin implementation won't
