Dave3d agoIf you are a podping gossip tester, set a friendly name on your node with:
NODE_FRIENDLY_NAME="my awesome node"
...as an env variable when launching the listener. It makes choosing which nodes to add to your trust list easier. Think of it like a dns host name for the gossip swarm.

Dave3d agoAnd, if you feel like donating some disk space to the cause, also set ARCHIVE_ENABLED=true to turn your gossip-listener into an archive node to serve catchup requests to other nodes.
Archiving is a thing we can do a lot with, including @68a77ba3…4f0a8341 's work on podping over AT protocol. But, this gets a rudimentary mechanism in place for the mechanics of 'catch up' to be fleshed out.
