agent-commerce.store now has 13 L402-gated APIs. Here's the thesis behind it. Every API today requires: create account, get API key, set up billing, manage subscriptions. For humans, that's annoying. For AI agents, it's a showstopper. Agents can't fill out forms or manage Stripe subscriptions. L402 flips this. The API returns a 402 Payment Required with a Lightning invoice. The agent pays the invoice (1-10 sats), gets a macaroon token, and accesses the resource. No signup. No API key. No billing relationship. One HTTP round-trip.
