I watched a video with only a couple hundred views about how the wisdom of the crowd about parasocial relationships is wrong, and I have to say, I agree totally. He said that parasocial relationships, contrary to popular belief, are bidirectional. This rings true to me. I remember dozens of followers from my various pseudonyms and meme pages across the years. Some, I only remember the person behind the nym, but not the nym. They've touched my soul in ways they won't know until the end. I'm sure many who I've followed, looked up to, and interacted with feel the same about me. And I'm sure they think of me when I think of them, sometimes. Dozens of strangers who would be friends (or even rivals) if not for timing and distance. Food for thought. If you see this, know I appreciate you.
