@⚡tephen The cost for the update servers is currently $0 due the server sponsorships. It would be around $3000/month if we had to pay for it ourselves. Torrents would add a huge amount of attack surface compared to a simple TLSv1.3 HTTP/1.1 download. The updates are cryptographically verified with downgrade protection so the security considerations are mostly low attack surface, signature verification and verified boot as a 2nd layer.
