‘A good definition for money is an insurance policy against uncertainty. It can be used to obtain anything that the market place can bear in terms of goods or services. As a market actor facing future uncertainty, I will not know what good or services I will need. Therefore I hold my purchasing power in a store of value for that uncertain future that gives me the widest range of optionality for goods & services.
