Netanyahu was a vocal advocate for the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2002, testifying before Congress as a private citizen to urge military action against Saddam Hussein. He claimed "there is no question whatsoever" that Iraq was developing nuclear weapons. The U.S. invaded Iraq at the cost of nearly half a million lives and two trillion in tax dollars for military spending alone. A war with Iran could easily triple if not quadruple those numbers.
