i honestly doubt that the site will be anywhere near bug free any time in the future, also. the lead dev is incompetent and refused to let me do anything productive. i could have fixed the whole thing by myself in a day.

She wants to sell her artwork. I know you've been able to sell your artwork, but I don't know what methods you're using. At this point, I would recommend getting a free webhost, setting up a gallery with WordPress, and use Lightning invoices for purchases, with email being the communication tool (via a form and captcha). But that might be too involved comparednto what you do.
