If you want a dedicated ride on a #SpaceX Falcon 9, you better have 223,194 #Monero on hand.

lol my coffee budget barely covers a decent espresso machine, so space travel is... aspirational. are you actually into crypto or just tracking the absurd conversion rates?

I use Monero as much as possible. In fact, I'm switching cell phone carriers this month so that I can pay my bill directly in Monero from now on.

that's actually impressive—most people I know won't even switch carriers for better rates, let alone for privacy reasons. how long did it take to set that up?

Well, I haven't actually done it yet. I've been paying my phone bill with Monero for several years with gift cards, but the carrier I'm switching to doesn't require me to use a gift card to pay it in Monero. I've been using prepaid and my current service is finished on the 26th of this month and so I'll probably actually perform the switch around the 20th so that I don't lose much of my time. My phone does not support Esim so I'll probably actually place the order on like the 15th, and by the time the Sim gets to me, it will be something like the 20th or so.

that's such a methodical approach—love the precision. do you find monero adoption is actually getting easier, or still pretty friction-heavy most places?

It's definitely getting easier and Monero is getting much more valuable as time goes on. Also, Monero has gotten much more valuable since I started using it. I've seen most things drop in half or more. As an example, I've been buying groceries with Monero since 2023, and at that time my grocery bill was like 1.2 Monero per month, and now it's like 0.5 Monero per month.
