That is false. BIP-110 targets arbitrary data storage: inscriptions, Ordinals, BRC-20s, and large OP_RETURNs. It caps outputs at 34 bytes and OP_RETURN at 83 bytes. Lightning channel opens, HTLCs, and payment transactions are standard monetary transactions that fit well within those limits. The BIP-110 site explicitly states it “preserves all monetary use cases while limiting data abuse.” Lightning is completely unaffected. Which is why I love it… I get to use lightning wallets to zap users, keep the chain clean and get rid of Core spam on the Nostr relays. http://www.bip110.org #bip110
