I just finished The Gold Standard by @4379e76b…065061ad It is entirely unique, in it’s approach of History, Novel, and Economics. The novel aspects early on in the book have several bitcoin slogans, and even a snippet from the whitepaper, which I found amusing. My favorite part is the ending of the book, it takes a deep dive on life in the 21st century with the world staying on a Gold Standard, even modernizing that standard further. It goes through the implications of food, technology, territory and politics in a thought provoking way. For anyone who has read The Bitcoin Standard, other of Saif’s books, or has in interest in, history, economics or gold. The book is an explorative thought experiment into the hardness of money, and how the world could be much more efficient, peaceful, and liberating living on a hard money standard. #thegoldstandard
