Populations: US = 350M EU = 450M US/EU combined = 800M China = 1,400M 1,400/800 = 1.75 China has 75% more people than US+EU, but is only using 40% more energy. So they're using less energy per capita... Think. 🤓

Do you see any trends on the chart, does it seem like the current ratio might change in the future?

Their energy use is rising, as all devoloping nations do. If this chart went back far enough, I bet you would see a similar curve on US and EU. If China used about 50% more energy than they did in 2024 (end of chart) they would slightly exceed the US per capita energy usage. I don't believe human released CO2 is the main driver of climate change either.
