When I create a post on Yakihonne that contains text and a link, the post appears without a thumbnail preview 🤔 Normally I would expect the link preview to show a thumbnail image, but in my case only the text and link are displayed.
Is there a specific reason why Yakihonne does not generate thumbnails for links in posts on Nostr? Is this a limitation of the client, or does the website need certain metadata (for example Open Graph tags) for the preview to work?
I’m trying to understand if this is a client behavior or something related to the link formatting itself. Any clarification would be appreciated 🙂

SMCtraderMike6d agoI tested this. In Amethyst the link preview shows a thumbnail, but in Primal it does not — similar to what I see here in Yakihonne. I would like to use Yakihonne as my default Nostr app, but I’m trying to understand why there is no thumbnail preview when I share a link.

Moos1d agoCan you share a link that didn’t work? Many URLs can’t be parsed due to permissions issues or lack of metadata as you mentioned, but most of them work in both web and mobile app, if you don’t see them in the editor, just switch to preview so they can be parsed.
